Ayurvedic Treatment for Piles

Piles, also known as Hemorrhoids, are swollen veins in the rectum or anus that cause pain, discomfort, and bleeding during bowel movements. It is very common and often linked to constipation, long sitting hours, and unhealthy eating habits. In Ayurveda, Piles is called Arsha, mainly caused by Vata and Pitta imbalance and poor digestive strength. With proper Ayurvedic care, diet improvement, and regular routine, symptoms can reduce and comfort can return naturally.

Causes of Piles

1- Chronic constipation: Hard stools put excess pressure on rectal veins, causing swelling and irritation, which slowly leads to piles.

2- Sitting for long periods: Office jobs, long driving hours, or sitting in the toilet for too long reduce blood flow and worsen piles.

3- Low-fiber and spicy diet: Fast food, fried items, and less fiber make digestion weak, increasing chances of constipation and irritation.

4- Straining while passing stool: Excess pressure during bowel movement damages veins and causes swelling and pain.

5- Obesity and pregnancy: Increased pressure in the lower abdomen affects blood vessels in the rectum and contributes to piles development.
